This guy was Ford/NH. Same deal with the NH stuff too. Most of the balers here were JD and a very few NH's. Guy I know was a mechanic at this guys place who branched out on his own when Stan retired. This guys is still angry 30 years later that the owner didn't do more on the AG side. Here Ford could have held it's own by the late 60's. In the very early 70's the big guys here were running 826's and 4020's and that was maybe 2-3 guys. Most of the rest were running tractors less than 50 HP. I can remember this guy selling 2 new tractors between 72 and 74. One to the city and one to the school.
Lot of the old timers in the late 90's said Stan could have sold a lot of AG stuff with just a little effort if he had wanted to. The JD dealer was bad and most of the locals were mad at IH at the time. Lot of the farmers would have loved something close providing there was service and parts after the sale.
Stan built a new building in the mid 70's cause Ford told him he had to. For a sales/shop building in an AG area and being both AG and auto it wasn't very impressive. Had enough room for 2 cars in the show room. Couple of offices, Parts room, 4 repair bays (2 with lifts 2 without) one auto body bay and a paint booth. Current owner of the building turned it into a convenience store/out door power equipment and light repairs. And he's short on room and doesn't work on AG stuff.
Now cause of the military I've been around the US a bit. I've seen areas were there are or were a fair number of of 4000 and 5000 Fords from the 60's and larger ones from the 70's and later. Seen areas that were almost 100% JD, others that were in the day IH. I've even been trough areas where there is a lot of AC stuff around like mid MN just off of US 212. From what I've seen there they must have had one heck of an AC dealer in the day. In areas where the size of farms was smaller they bought smaller equipment. One thing I learned was that the quality of the dealership made all the difference in the world in what was the favorite brand in a given area.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
