I put this field off to last. It had some real wet spots and very steep on back side. 35 degree slopes and no good way to plow it without having to turn furrows up hill, but the plow is very capable of turning furrows uphill. The side hill hitch actually steers the plow up or down hill the way it is mounded to the main frame of the plow, so the tractor doesn't have to try to force the plow up hill no mater weather I am turning furrows up hill or down hill. Plowing up the hills was pretty tough. The plow points kept hooking into the ledgrock, and had to stop and raise tail wheel to clear them. often. The front of the tractor was real light pulling the hill and catching the ledges just spun me in. It was quite the dance, controlling everything on the uphill pull.
I had a wet spot on the lower side, biut was able to plow thru that one.
This is the headland on the south end of the field.
Had a little problem on the lower north end of field when plowing off headland. I got in a wet spot and could not pull away from it. The RH single tire kept sinking. I had to call my cousin and he came down and gave me a tug to pull the front of my tractor back onto the plowed ground.

This story is about the day my Grandfather Brown (true name) decided along with my parents to purchase a new Ford tractor. It wasn't really new except to us. The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
