Had a 76 model IH1566. Compared to JD it was a bit less refined but it sure was a great work tractor. I was looking for a JD 4630 at time and Deere was experiencing some problems getting them out to dealers. Found the IH 1566 with 20.8 rear factory duals and more HP for less money. It served our farm for many years with minimal problems. The 66 series of IH were great tractors in my opinion.
