I have to agree with burns (but it won't happen very often) in southeast PA we have a lot of variety when it comes to tractor colors. Sure, IH and Deere together cover 60 to 70% of the market, but if you look around a little, you can see Allis, Massey Ferguson, Ford, Duetz, Agco, Case, New Holland, even a few Cockshutt's, Massey Harris and Oliver's now & then. And I mean in fields working, not just at shows. Of course we see horses and mules working fields too with the Amish, so I guess we are blessed with variety. I'm red to the bone, but even a John Deere would be better than using mules. psst- hey burns, don't let it get around, but I even have a few friends who farm with green tractors. \;~)

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
