Todd and John, Thanks for your info. John I have checked my choke plate before and found that not to be the problem, your CC is unique! Todd as soon as the sun comes up I'm going to remedy those holes in the choke plate. Thanks! : : I have a 18hp Kohler Magnum, 2 cylinder and it is the hardest starting engine I have ever had. Does anyone have any advise on how to correct the problem? any advise would be appreciated. Thanks : I have the same engine in a 1872 Cub Cadet. I am the only one who can start it because the choke comes out part way, stops and is not enough to start it. A little extra "yank" and the choke closes fully and it starts right up!! : Look in the carb with the aircleaner off to see if the choke is closed all the way. : Post back here if that works. I would like to know if my CC is unique.
