Farming a small acerage is soon to be thing of the pass. Corn prices the same as the 70's and the cost of inputs are way up. Goverment will finish all small farms. They just helped me out. Needed dike repairs to keep the drainage of the towns water from my field ( which eroded the bank in the 1st place) My share for 36 acres ( 1 of them is in the creek) of which 32.5 are workable is $30,000. The property was worth $100,000. With $2 corn and $4 soybeans I will pay that off in no time.
