Spec on torque for Rod bolts is 50-55. The nuts are the castle nuts and had a cotter pin in them. When. Torque to 50 there were many that did not align with the holes in the bolts. That is not surprising. So I torqued to 55 thinking there may be enough movement to enable the alignment of slot on nut to the hole in bolt. That did not happen! So I assume that I just keep turning until now have alignment even though I am exceeding the torque spec. I know this is a Farmall question, but figured it is a generic issue. So what have or would you do?
