I don't have a lot of personal experience with the newer to new small tractors. I've been thinking about it but haven't pulled the trigger. So I have done some research. This is what I've found out based on customer reviews and other forums. This is trying to be objective as I can without letting brand loyalty interfere.
The 3 top rated brands, in order are Kubota, JD and Mahindra. That's not say other brands are good or bad. Just those are the top 3.
Because you are looking new dealer support is extremely important because of the warranty. (My opinion at least). So here I have a couple of JD dealerships with pretty good reputations. Have a Kubota dealer at 30 that's highly thought of.
Have 2 Mahindra dealers, one at 45 miles that I have heard nothing about and another at 55 miles also a JD dealer with a good reputation.
Again my opinion. The distances from me rule out Mahindra.
From research I've been informed that CaseIH is so-so. Now I'n not real sure if FIAT kept the CaseIH compact or the NH (Ford) after the buyout. That's one of those things where all I can find out is "he said/she said" kinda thing. Just don't get a warm fuzzy feeling. Kioti and Yanmar seem to rank OK. We have a fairly new/old Kioti dealer. Bobcat dealer that now sells Kioti. The dealer has a solid reputation. Cub Cadet? Just don't hear enough about them, same with MF badged ones.
IMO the big one is Jinma! Stay away from Jinma. IIRC the Northern Tool Notrac is a Jinma with the Northern Tool name on it.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
