Well I'm going to weigh in with some unasked for and probably unwanted financial advice. You are 5 years out from retirement when you will most likely have a reduced income so you might want to bank/invest the money you are going to pay for the new tractor for the next 5 years until retirement and keep using your old Fords. How tough can it be to cut off 11 1/2 acres really? In 5 years you'll have the CASH saved up to buy a new tractor and you will have a new tractor not an out of warranty 5 year old tractor.I'm betting when you have the cash in hand and facing the realities of retirement you'll be real glad you have the money stored away instead of the tractor you really have very little work for and really couldn't afford to buy since you are going to have to make payments. To make a long story short I almost bought a new tractor about 20 years ago my wife wanted me to get, could have paid cash instead I spent about 1/3 of the money I would have spent on the new tractor on fencing and updating/repairing my older equipment/tractors still have the rest of the money.Buying that new tractor would have been one of the worst financial mistakes I ever made.

From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
