I think the reason lots of us mess with antique farm equipment is it is a link to the past where you could leave your door unlocked, trust your neighbor as well as a complete stranger, and generally have at least SOME trust and beleif that people are good. Man this kind of thing turns my stomach! This has to be kids or someone who is deranged in some way. They surely don't know the bond we build with our machines. Makes you just want to stay at home with your investment. It is a catch 22 it seems. You want to try to share what you feel for the past but you can't deal with emotionally or afford to have some piece of trash screw it up. If I caught someone doing that to my or anyone else's equipment, his life for sure (and maybe mine too) would be ruined.
