There is an interesting biker bar called Daniels in a little town on route 1 in Maryland. Under the previous owners it was a trucker's hangout, and what makes this place interesting is you have the bar outside, just along the busy highway. It's rare you'd see anything other than a Harley parked there, with the riders admiring their machines with beer in hand as they sit at the bar. Kind of like us tractor guys, they come up with new things to say about the bikes as they sit around drinking.
The last fatality there--and there have been a number--happened when one of the regulars climbed aboard his full dresser, all tricked out with every gadget you could possibly attach--and polished to a mirror shine--and pulled directly into the path of high-speed traffic. A woman driving her pickup knocked him into the next life and scattered the bike all over the roadway. Oddly enough, both the woman and the rider knew each other. It's that kind of place.

No, I don't ride any more to speak of. Driving here is dangerous enough.
