Yesterday I attended a farm sale about 25 miles to the southeast......The sellers had been ill and the hired help had pretty much destroyed lots of the stuff...The anvil pretty much tells the story....It sold for $70..... 4020 JD with new rear tires-----$775 4020 JD with loader and new rear tires----$1300 They sold choice on the above 3020 and 4020 JD diesel tractors..The bidding stalled around $4200....The seller wanted $5,000 for the 3020 and $6,000 for the 4020...The black Chevy road tractor with a 427 in the back didnt sell as the bid was too low.. I got the MM G-1000 Vista LP for $1150..It ran 3-4 years ago and has power steering issues....I watched this tractor sell in 2004 just 4 miles from this sale..It was much nicer back then.. I-400 Allis Industrial tractor painted green which is made from a D-12 Allis....Had IH motor in it------$725-went to a good AC family that lives close to the sale that will get it going with the correct engine... The D-6 Cat behind it sold for scrap for $1100..There was another D-6 cat located on another part of the farm but didnt catch the price.. D-8 Cat sold for scrap for $2200...A better D-8 located about 1/2 mile away had a bid of $6,500 but seller wanted $7,000....I think they got together on a price.... Cat grader went for scrap at $900.. Didnt catch the price on this one..
These pictures only show a small amount what was actually on this sale..Some items didnt sell and lots went for scrap..There was a nice Kuhn disk mower that brought close to $4,000..A friend got 3 loads of machinery to resell..There were several cattle trailers-lots of haying stuff-etc..They kept some of the better stuff as the grandson will continue to run the ranch..It was mostly at another location..
