Our business currently runs all three. I personally have a Dodge but both of my brothers are running duramaxs. You will find better fuel economy with the cummins without sacrificing any type of power. The cummins is designed to fall under the classification of medium duty where the powerstroke is a light duty design. I can't remember the exact numbers but the surface area on the cummins main bearings is more per bearing than the ford. GM is correct in that the duramax isn't any noiser than a gas engine and isn't to far off from the acceleration. My brother delivered our hydraulic hammer (2200+ lbs)for our excavator using his chevy. First words out of his mouth was "It doesn't pull like a cummins" My 2 cents
