The Rumely 6, built by the Advance-Rumely Corporation was first built in 1930. According to C.H.Wendel. in his MBI book "ALLIS-CHALMERS TRACTORS", serial numbers 501 and 502 were built during that year. Nrs 503 to 1302 were built the following year. Also, according to the same author, but in a different book, "The GREAT AMERICAN FARM TRACTOR", Longmeadow Press, Copyright 1994,Brompton Press, on page 43 cites the AVERY model "C" as being the first six cylinder tractor tested at NEBRASKA, in 1920, test #39.
