Sorry to hear about the 20,000 mile engine but there was obviously something wrong with the installation & tuning. Many tinker shop propane installations didn't make that distance. Many of the early highway diesels were no prize either. In Ontario the grants & waving taxes pay for 1/2 to 2/3 of the extra vehicle costs. Road tax is not applied to home fuel filling stations. And they cost only $3500.00 Can $ before the grant to purchase. Total payback on a pickup driven 30,000 miles per year is approx 2 years. Less if multiple vehicles using the compressor. Better payback than most diesel applications & you can still burn gasoline in a pinch. The factory NG systems are well engineered & supported with warranty.
