Todd I had trouble finding main bearings other than standard. Because I was right at the minimum for tolerance 2.998", I adjusted the shims with new main bearings that I bought from Deere. Because I am using rods out a 70 in my G, I was able to purchase insert bearings for the rods through Federal. If I remember correctly, I did not go with Deere rod bearings because they only offered .020 for the rods.
