there are several shade tree ways of doing this,depending on what stage you are at.you didnt state if the front end is on or off the tractor.if the front end is still on the tractor,then jack up a rear wheel,put it in 3rd gear and put a socket and handle on the nut and turn the engine until the wrench is against the left hand frame,turn the jacked up wheel forward and bump the wrench.is the head off?put something like a large socket in a cylinder then bolt a thick piece of steel across the cylinder using the headbolt holes,turn the engine until the socket is up against the steel which will stop the crank from turning.
