I cuurently own a 2000 24 valve and couldn't be more satisfied, I too debated beteween between the powerstroke and the cummins. I did alot of research between the two and found the cummins to be supperior although the powerstroke is respectable. I have had no problems not even minor and I have 25k miles so far. This engine really pulls and that is what it was designed for. if you want to go fast unloaded get the ford, if you want to pull get the dodge. Either way you should be happy. By the way if dodge would come out with a crew cab, ford and gm would be obsolete in my opinion
