Years ago I had a used hood for a Ford 800 series tractor. It was not perfect but usable. I had it advertised saying it was that way. The first fellow came and looked at it and just stated it was not good enough for his project so he Thanked me and left. Great way to do business. Next fellow came and started running it down all the while wanting the price reduced. He really got on my nerves real quick. The hood was laying on the ground right in front of my loader tractor. I jumped on the tractor and mashed the hood flat to the ground an then tossed it into my junk pile. Fellow came unglued. LOL I told him it was not good enough for him so I just solved both our problems. LOL
This new fad of watching TV shows on bargain dealing has caused a lot of people to think they should low ball everything just because they can. Dealing with these kind of people gets old real fast. I list at a fair price to start with. I do not go fishing for suckers with inflated prices.
This low balling and complaining has gotten so bad it really has turned me off selling things directly. One big reason I scrapped a hold shed full of useable JD "odd" parts. Like frame rails, fuel tanks and such. Scrape yard never complained or low balled me one time. LOL
So tell the fellow to go pound sand on a $200 boat.
