Farmer near Charleston, MS grows about 80 acres of it. Harvested with a Gehl silage cutter into wagons that dump in a Cotton Module builder. They process it for organic oil dry, cat litter filler and the 'guts' for the booms that are used to catch oil spills.
They have piles of it from years past, my understanding is it is difficult to market commercially and the cat litter contract was lost due to spoiled material being mixed in with fresh product.
