This is why farmers get upset with the smaller 10 acre homesteads springing up nearby. We do NOT need more government paperwork, titles, and fees! I mean this in a nice way, but that is a real bad road you want to go down..... Keep your sales slip when you bought it. It's yours. Write down your serial numbers yourself - that's all the govt title is anyhow, a list of serial numbers. If you worry about it being stolen, protect it. (Private sale - keep the canceled check. Payed cash? What were you thinking!!! Get a reciept from the guy with the tractor serial number & a signature on it.) Look how many cars are stolen, govt titles with fees only costs you money, doesn't prevent theft. Don't mean to be gruff about it, you just touched a nerve. Sorry. :)
