I'm near Nanaimo on vancouver island. We've been mild since March. Hardly any frost this spring. We are a bit low on moisture but we've seen worse. Temp has been in the low to mid 20s C ( 70-75 F ??? Someonelse can do the math) . Very pleasant. Mid to high teens Celsius overnight.
All of a sudden on Thursday night I was mowing the tree filed and I was getting cold. I finished up about 9 and went to the cranberry pumphouse to check field temp. It was 42 F about 5 C.
Pump was set to go on at 35F 2C, which it did for a short time about 3 am. No dammage so everything worked but still that's a big change.
Must have just been a wierd cold front. Seems good now again but you never know. Grant
