Greg, The price of rear tires can be as expensive as the rest of the restoration. In many cases, the tractors have had fresh paint and decals with minor parts replaced. Those who have performed a labor of love in restoring a tractor have placed the nostalgic or emotional value higher than the utility value of the tractor because it was Grandpa's or dad's. Those serious about restoration will not only replace the tires, but will use tires and batteries from the original era. When I was restoring 60's muscle cars, I saw where some people would use the old case of a battery and put new lead in them. They would look far and wide to get NOS sparkplug wires, wiring harnesses and so forth. Now that's a labor of love. Ken McWilliams
