LOL Case hasn't been Case sense Tenneco bought controlling interest in the company, what around 1970/71? SO from then on the name should have been Tenn or some such. Same with IH. IH died in 1985. When merged with Case it too should have been Tenn or something like that. When the whole works got bought by FIAT....well you know..... :lol: :lol:
Now, You going to tell us that Case made a superior product and the vast majority of farmers prior to 1970 were too stupid to buy Case even though they were often less expensive? Why do you think farmers said CASE stood for Can't Afford Something Else? Heck Case sold about 13,500 930's compared to Farmalls nearly 43,000 806's in 1/3rd the time? And JD sold nearly 75,000 of it's closest competitor? So according to you out of about 130,000 farmers only 13,500 were smart enough to buy a Case?
