I’m planning to install a Char-Lynn steering valve on my Farmall Super M. Model SM, Serial # F-32828-J. The M has a bucket on the front and an aftermarket 3-point hitch on the rear. They both work at the same time and the hitch is power-down too. My problem is that I’m not sure how to connect the steering torque generator into the hydraulic system. There are no hoses connected to the left side of the engine. Those two points have the small round plates covering the openings. It has been suggested that the motor be connected in series with the loader control valve. The steering valve is “open center” but would it restrict the flow to the loader too much. This is my first venture into hydraulics.
