A friend of mine used to work a piece of ground right across the road from an assisted living facility, and surrounded on the other three sides by houses and a nursing home. Years before he started farming it, a careless fertilizer company applicator sprayed something, we aren't sure what, that drifted into those yards killing shrubs, flowers, and trees. My friend couldn't even disk the place without having the police called on him!
Some people are paranoid! These "personal injury" lawsuits are brought by lawyers looking to get rich! All they do is whip these paranoid conspiracy theory types into a frenzy, and then use twelve people who weren't smart enough to get out of jury duty, not to mention "expert witnesses" that couldn't grow a row of onions, to line their pockets! The truth is the last thing they want to come out in court are the facts!
The real losers are the American farmers, when we lose a good product and have to use something more expensive which drives up the cost of production, or something less effective, driving down production. But if the price in the grocery store goes up, guess who get the blame? It sure ain't the lawyer!
