Been traveling the last few days to Bloomsburg Pa. Fo the Red Power Show the 27th-29th. Started in west central Wisconsin. Yesterday we visited Gettysburg. I really brushed up on my history. Today we checked out Lancaster. Real amish country.
A Few observations along the way: 1. A lot of fields are not planted. 2. Some corn just popping out of the ground and some over waist high. 3. Amish people work too hard. It still amazes me how they add steel wheels to modern tractors and equipment. 4. Why do some of the barns in the Pennsylvania area have an overhang on one side? 5. I saw a few silos that did not have roofs on them. They were set up for with unloaders and what caught my eye was the tops of the silos looked like someone removed a part of a stave. Only thing is that these silos were poured concrete. What was the purpose of the notches?
