The Fordson was made from 1917-1930. Compared to the tractors of the 30s and 40s they were pretty primitive. It seems to me that the tractors should be compared to tractors of the same era. I have had Ford 6000s and the transmissions were bad, but was more comfortable to ride than the WD45. The WD 45 was a tough tractor, but tough to ride any length of time. The 6000 transmission was ahead of its time and has been refined over the years. Thanks for another great topic. Ron
