I have been working with computor controlled vehicles since they came out-worked for a Gm dealership from 1980-1990 and I agree with you about the connectors and such, but we also had lots of problems MAF sensors, stepper motors jamming etc. and they all cost money. I now work on and drive the big ones. Last winter -400 miles from home our 93 freightliner started missing. Got it into a freightliner shop and got it out $2500 later. One new injector $500, One brain box - almost $2000- and that was rebuilt stuff ,not new. Do you honestly think anyone is going to want to keep old toys running when they have to spend that kind of money for injectors and such? Some of the wiring is already starting to break down and its only eight yrs. old. I wonder how much a new harness is worth!!
