To answer this question is? the #3 cylinder was the one that really threw the rod. The first time I have ever had a tractor that had no connecting rod for that cylinder. Could not find it in the tear down of this block? Must had really been thrown out of this engine. Could only find the top of the piston in #3 cylinder. The Crank has deep marks in from the pounding of the connecting rod on #3 cylinder. the balance gear is torn in to because that balance gear started to come lose. I have a new / used good 239 block plain to rebuilt from scratch I think. Yes the coast will be high but then I know what I have for this tractor. Understand that a new Kubota with 40 P.T.O power is 34,000.00 with front loader. I can rebuild this 674 IH. with 62 P.T.O at a cheaper price of buying a new one. I might need help in locating parts for this engine . I will be emailing you a list thank you for asking.
