Some of the old railroad names (names only) are coming back. Our old Wisconsin Central Railroad (no one gave it much credit) was purchased by SOO Line and then, many years later, sold to CN. CN now runs 25 freight trains per day through our town averaging between 140 and 150 cars per train. One of them I spotted was brand new paint in "Illinois Central" markings. Black with white lettering. I asked about it and was told by a local train buff that CN was planning to paint a lot of their rolling stock with the colors of companies they had absorbed. I'm waiting. Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
