I worked for a Bolens dealer early 70s. I was always fascinated by how those tube-frame tractors were built. Especially the farm-type front and rear splined PTO shafts. Also a real clutch, not just a slipping belt. I still have two of the tractors here, quite a bit older then the one you are showing here. Rugged at they were built, they were never what I'd call "reliable." My 800 is 20 years older with a Wisconson S7D cast-iron engine. The newer ones in the early 80s - like the QT in your photo were available with hydraulic lift that is nice to have. Here is a 20 year older version that is listed in my Craigslist right now.
