Serial number tag should be on the clutch housing, carburetor side of the tractor. Lots of people painted over them so you might not be able to see the number. The number on the engine should tell you the year. Super M was made from 52-54. The number you give from the engine would point towards it being a Super MTA. Does it have a hand lever on the same side as the clutch? If so it is an MTA and is a 54 model. Steven
