During my farming career I owned Farmalls, 300,super M, 560D 504 656D and a 1066. Super M had standard drawbar, 300 and 560D Fast Hitch and 504, 656D and 1066 were 3point hitch with lower link sencing. I destroyed the seat twice,on my 560 lowering mounted 4 row corn planter, could have been my backside. After 3 years of use pulling a pull type implement it was as though you had it hitched with a 3 foot chain. When I purchased my 656D and 504 I bought two brand new swinging drawbars for the 300 and 560 and took the torch to those Fast Hitches. I later had a 5 x 16 simi mount plow, manure pump that required 14 x 100 lb front weights on 656 just to move around, 300 gal. sprayer, 22 foot cultivator with cage rollers, etc. I hitched all of these pieces of equipment by myself many times. With the extendable lower links one could hitch and never go back to the tractor seat. My 656 and 1066 had cabs with mirror above the back window. As mounted eq. got larger it had to be unhooked on level firm ground. That one could cause as much grief FH or 3PH. The lower link draught control was superior. I used to pull that 5 x 16 plow with 656 no liquid or solid weights added other than 4 front end weights which helped steering on the headlands in wet conditions. I stand behind what I said' "Harry Ferguson won the war before IH sold their first Fast Hitch.

When Push Comes to Shove - by Dave Patterson. When I was a “kid” (still am to a deree) about two I guess, my parents couldn’t find me one day. They were horrified (we lived by the railroad), my mother thought the worst: "He’s been run over by a train, he’s gone forever!" Where did they find me? Perched up on the seat of the tractor. I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
