1948 8N Ford Tractor

Early I posted a question about power steering or
power assist steering for a 52 8N Ford. Upon
further research I found out our tractor is a 48.
It does not have the setup for backlash adjustment
that a friend told me it should have that's how I
found out it was an early tractor. Any advice on
easier steering would be appreciated. I have a
loader and other items but even with no load it
steers hard.
