Read you last message this morning. I’m impressed that you guys are so interested in this kato-nokes swather. My plans for this is to get it to running order. I’m not big on paint anymore. I like to see these things the way I found them unless they are a total basket case. This is going to be some what a slow job as I’ve got other projects started but after a long look at it there’s nothing to it. Get everything loosened up, couple bearings to change, find a canvas and get the engine working. I think I’ll have to find a replacement engine as this one is stuck and in very bad shape. The best way to contact me is to just call my cell 320-333-9980. I can even send more pictures if need so. If and when I do get it going it might find it’s home at Albany pioneer days as I am a member there. If I find a good way to transport it I might go farther with it but it’s a pain to load and unload and it’s also over 12 feet wide. I would be honored to have you and some of your friends to come and look this over. Pictures never do justice as seeing it in real life. Hoping to hear from you. Here’s more pictures. Battery box under gas tank with the rear part of steering. Bottom of steering pedestal. Chain goes to the rear. Platform lift, single acting cylinder on each side. Sickle drive on rear center of platform. It’s hooked to a walking beam that goes to the center of the sickle.

I’ve noticed a few questions in the comment section that could pertain to hydraulic cylinders so I thought we could take a short look at this real workhorse of the circuit. Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
