Kev, I don't remember specific #'s, so bear with me. When I was younger, my father talked about picking corn all the time with a picker mounted on a Farmall M. I also remeber him talking about borrowing the neighbors Super C or was it just a C, anyhow with a one row. My uncle (on my mom's side) used to have a 460 with a two row. It used to pick hundreds of acres a year when he was a kid. It is not used for picking anymore, it's been years since that. But between rebuilds and complete new motors, it is on it's sixth. My grandfather said it used to run all day long and alot into the night. It picked his corn, and all of the neighbors next door, with it running all day and alot of the night. Lots of gas I suppose...they didn't get a diesel till they got a 656.
