What have I done? I'll tell you what--I left a bid on a rusty old tractor going up for sale out in Wisconsin tomorrow. This tractor is just a tad over 1000 miles away. This is really becoming a sickness with me.
If I end up the winning bidder, this means:
2,000 mile road trip, or arrange to have it shipped. Probably same money either way. Just less outlay of time.
The government website that calculates fuel cost came up with a one-way total of $203. I could live with that, but it's wrong. The reason it's wrong is they did not have an option for my truck, which has the V-10 gas motor in it. They offered every option BUT mine on their website. Maybe figured no one would take a trip in a truck like that. AND....I have not calculated my own fuel mileage because I don't use the truck that much--and I'm afraid of knowing what it is. It's not 14 MPG like the website says. More like 11.
This is like waiting to see if I've won the lottery, and hoping I didn't. I've been to Wisconsin, I like Wisconsin,, but it's not like I don't have enough to do right here at home. Rusty tractor in Wisconsin. The auction guy said he'd let me know tomorrow.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
