They are like dealing with a big department store, where nowone knows much except when their next coffee break will be. Be careful with these guys. At least with CT and Shoup catalogs in hand you can shop at 3 AM in privacy. In some CT stores I've wondered if the help could tell time. I get better inventoried service, though not necessarily fast service at their warehouse in Des Moines. I've noticed on occasion that JD was a penny or two cheaper on 4020 parts. And JD has been significantly cheaper on standard nuts and bolts and hydraulic fittings and has a wider selection of hydraulic fittings and adapters. NAPA has some engine parts for JD, probably other automotive parts places in agricultural areas do too. My JD dealer made a hose for me a couple months ago that won't fit the tractor, isn't flexible enough to match the bends of the original steel line. There's not universal satisfaction in either direction. Gerald
