Look up Snowco Bale L:oader and see a "one armed bandit" bale loader that was pulled along side a truck or wagon and generally worked great. Used one on the farm where I worked as a kid. Don't see them anymore. Wish I could find one to fix up and demonstrate/own as a neat old machine. Some of the youtube videos don't show it working too good but I can assure all I have seen one load thousands of 50-60 lbs. bales with little problem. They can be easily "reconfigured" to tow/transport behind a vehicle, at reasonable speeds, between fields.
