Glad you could finish the job safely. A farmer in my home town was not so lucky, but partly his fault for not realizing the danger. Story was they needed one more lift cycle out of the loader to finish a job. Hose blew and he grabbed around it to minimize the spray for the last cycle. I’m not sure if he had a leather glove on or not, but the fluid entered his hand. Went to local doctor, where I’m not sure if they used an injection or incisions to try to remedy the issue. Turned out the next day it was getting worse. Then they went to the specialist in KC three hours away, but to late ended up needing an amputation above the wrist. They said if he would have immediately went to the specialist chances were they could have saved the hand. Gentleman was probably in his late 40’s when it happened. Probably near 80 now and he is battling some rarer form of cancer. Not sure if it is related to this incident or not. Be very aware and respectful of highly pressurized fluids.
