Your Escape likely had the same rust out warranty. How much good did that do for you ? Guy at work had a small car made by Mitsubishi. He got really good life and service from it. It was just getting really old so he traded it off on a Jeep Renegade. I was surprised he did not get an Outlander not sure why but he did mention the Jeep dealer was offering $ 5,000 trade in on anything so I think that hooked him ! lol. The other guy mentioned to older dodge truck. But Dodge had some other cars and engines from Mitsubishi that did not have as good of reputation ? but that was many years ago and things change a lot. If you have a dealer near by and check out an extended factory warranty I don't see how it would be much different than any other brand ? I can tell you stories of dud Honda's , Subaru's, Toyota's and even way more Ford's and dodges and even more yet GM products ! Myself we have been getting good service out of our Honda's so far.
