I rarely go to Lowe’s. I go to Home Depot for most things. But if I have a big project, I go to Menards. The prices are simply better. The lumber selection is better, imho, because of the volume they sell, the same pile isn’t picked over like it is at Home Depot. I’ve priced out jobs between HD and Menards, and Menards was always cheaper. In this area, the only source for many ground contact treated wood is Menards. I bought a 6x6 post and some treated skirt boards for a pole structure. The local HD didn’t have any 6x6 ground contact stuff at all, some 4x6, but not much. I’d go to Menards more, but it is 30 miles away.
