The only benefit from having 8 volts is it will spin over a bit faster. Use the 6 volt setting on your charger. You may not get it fully charged but once the tractor is running it will bring it up the rest of the way. You will have to "bump up" the voltage regulator so it charges at 8 instaed of 6 volts. Put a meter on the battery when you bump it up. You want around 9 volts or so. Anything higher and you may start to boil the battery.
