We need to get some speed enforcement here in Pa. I have to drive on I-78 a couple of times a week. Generally, traffic is moving at around 75 to 80 miles an hour in "normal" traffic. There are always a couple of wild cards that come up behind you doing way faster than that and zigzagging through traffic like idiots. This all happens in a zone that is posted at 55 mph. I have reached the conclusion that there are no speed limits in Pa. Driving on the interstate is an exercise in stress management. If I were a speed cop, I would most certainly have writer's cramp. the two biggest violations are speeding and tailgating. You wouldn't need to worry about a quota here. There are plenty of violations to go around.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
