See, Minnesota has that law as well. Either pull over a lane or slow down 20mph below speed limit when going past an officer stop. Well, think anything pulled over now?
Those guys and gals need a break, too many officers get hit, so I’m fully on board with the spirt of this!
But.... there sure is a lot of conflict now as to where you are supposed to drive and how fast.
Really can’t follow every law, it now comes down to interpreting the many overlapping statutes.
Does not lead to good and orderly, it leads to confusion.
I’d prefer more clarity.
I think a lot of this comes down to cell phones in cars...... so when we had the old people drivers seminar, put on by my insurance agent, we got to the cell phone segment. And he was - very pro cell phone use! Huh? He said he’s hard of hearing, so when they go down the road in the same car, he has his wife call him and the talk to each other in the same car on the cell phone.... and so, I just give up.....
