Just the other day, a local farmer, relative of mine, was shooting on his 1500 acres which has been in his family for more than 70 years. Adjoining property, maybe 30 acres, was subdivided for about 15 homes. Lady from one of the homes insisted that he stop his use of firearms. Going to seek to have law passed to stop it. Says she has all her money invested in her house and wants to protect the value. Someone needs to educate those planning to move to the country. There are some existing conditions that they must accept. In fact, I must admit that I love to go shoot a bit. Noise doesn't bother me if I am doing the shooting, but gets on my nerves after a while if it is the neighbor that is shooting. Nuisance value depends on whether it is .22 or 30-06 that one is firing. He tolerates mine, so I tolerate his.
