Nothing wrong with hobby farms... Many people have moved out here to enjoy the country life but still have to make a living, in the DC suburbs which does require a 40 mile commute in heavy traffic. When my dad bought our 27 ac., barns and 180 year old farmhouse in 1976 it really was in the sticks. I bought it from my mom in early '99 and loved it for a year. Then on Mar.15, 2000 Dulles Airport (28 mi away) changed their traffic abruptly and now there is a constant roar of planes passing directly overhead. Not real loud but all the time. It took a year but I got used to that, but meanwhile the local airport at Frederick has decided that MY part of the county is the only unpopulated area to give flying lessons (everything else in Frederick County is covered with "Full One-Third Acre Estate Lots" and townhouses), and all weekend they are droning around at 500-1000 feet. Guess all those people who moved to the rapidly growing developments brought their @#$%ing Cessnas with them so they can be alone. The fact that they are annoying people who moved out here to get away from them doesn't seem to matter at all. Selfish SOBs. So much for tranquility in the country - the one place you can't put trees, berms and other noise barriers is OVERHEAD! I wish it was legal to shoot them!

From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
