I reversed an AC WD back in the 60s. The dealer I worked for purchased a complete fork lift assembly with a subframe. With the ring gear carrier flipped over and the hand clutch reinstalled on the opposite side, it drove real good. The biggest job to engineer was the clutch and brake pedal mounting and the steering wheel mounting and linkage. I moved the fuel tank closer to the engine, replaced the oil bath air cleaner with an above hood paper element one, shortened the hood and fabricated a chair seat above the battery box. With the fenders reversed, it looked like a factory installation. Was eventually used for many years by a manufacturing plant after the dealer sold out. Oh ya, a friend of mine was so impressed that he turned his WD around and mounted a loader on it. The steering turned the opposite and the brakes were inoperable so he was discussing with me on how to make corrections. Then he remembered his dad was coming over and would try to drive it, so he headed home. Too late as dad had already taken off the corner of the corn crib! Duey
