Hi,
I have an IH 454 3cyl diesel and I'm looking for information on the oil pump. Currently the oil pressure is good until it gets warm and then the oil pressure drops. A friend of mine said he heard of a guy who changed the oil pump to something else that kept the pressure where it should be. Apparently this guy dealt with an old tractor repair shop and they knew about the problem and said it's a common thing with the 454s. Unfortunately, the tractor repair shop closed down a few years ago and all I've got to go on is an anecdotal story with a lot of "I knew of a guy who knew a guy...".
Have anyone else heard of this? Replacing the oil pump? Or is it a sensor issue? I've done some digging and it does seem like a common problem (low oil pressure when warmed up and running) but I haven't seen anything about changing the oil pump to something else. Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks.

Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
